Creeping Normalcy, faith-washing and the Muslim Leadership Initiative all result in efforts to normalize Israel’s occupation of Palestine. They assume that Palestinians and Israelis are on equal footing and that simple dialogue would lead to peace. Normalizing programs ignore the dynamic between occupier and occupier, between the oppressor and the oppressed.
