Amani Al-Khatahtbeh is the founding editorin-chief of MuslimGirl.net, the leading online magazine for American Muslim women. Formerly the media relations specialist of the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee in Washington, D.C., she is a rising voice in social, cultural, and women’s issues, regularly appearing on such media outlets as CNN, The Huffington Post, and more. She is a human and civil rights activist and was one of the student organizers to force out former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice from her commencement invitation at Rutgers University in 2014. She was the first Palestinian-American to be elected as the opinions editor of The Daily Targum, which resulted in a nationwide controversy over her censorship. At 23 years old, her opinions have been quoted in such publications as Fortune, Wall Street Journal, and International Business Times. She has previously consulted Arab governments on youth interests.
