Lamis Deek is a human rights attorney and activist based in New York, originally from Nablus, Pales - tine. Her work spans international human rights, civil rights and criminal defense. She is chief counsel to the Global Justice and Human Rights Law Network, the founder of the Muslim Defense Project of the National Lawyers Guild, a 15 year member of Al Awda-NY, and is an advisor to CAIR-New York and other non-profit civil rights groups, and member of USPCN.
